Sketch of Becky Beacon of The Webcomic Beacon

Copyright 2008 Fesworks. Becky Beacon is the “cover girl” for the webcomics podcast, The Webcomic Beacon. Her character design is fairly simple. An average sized, average height, girl with blue eyes and long brown hair. She’s sort of a loner and keeps to herself most of the time. Smiles a lot, but is a mute. Though she technically CAN speak, she does not. She has spoken with sign language since she was a child. She likes to read and listen to music. Also a bit of a neat freak. Not an obsessive cleaner, just likes to keep things tidy and straight.

Becky was first publicly presented on July 25th, 2008, on Episode 34 of The Webcomic Beacon, on merchandising. Since then, she’s become a regular center of attention for the cover art of each episode. She has even been repeatedly used in guest art, in turn used as cover art.

At the time of this post, she is being planned to be used in a coming communal webcomic project called “Webcomic Bacon“. This project will involve a cast of open-source characters for people to work with. While Becky is going to be apart of the cast, she will not be open-source. Webcomic Bacon is more or less a spin-off of The Webcomic Beacon Podcast. Apart from that, Becky has also made an appearance in the webcomic P.S.I.
