I was trying to use the manual settings on my camera to counter the sun being in precisely the wrong spot for most of these pictures. I’ve had to mess with the colors afterwards too. Some of these are really good though. The rest seem OK.
The trail is called the Beaver Island Trail. There are actually an assortment of paths in the trees along the river and a paved trail. I did not get a chance to go down the whole trail. Ran out of batteries.
The THIRD time in 3 years that I have been there. Seems to be a tradition…. Actually… It might have been the 4th time in 3 years… I think I went twice one summer and took my brother. Last year was with Diana Nock. This year it was with Melissa Kaercher!
You might be able to see several similar locations, as well as some changes. For instance, there was a flood two years ago, and I snapped a great shot of this tree gracefully arcing over a creek. This year, it’s partly dead, and snapped in several places. On top of differences, there is new content, as I went on a trail I did not go on, nor photograph before.
There were also a few vintage cars that drove by the road to the park, so I managed to snag about half of them with my camera. Melissa also took a ton of photos during the trip as well. I’ll post a link as soon as she posts them.
